A BROTHER IN NEED IS A BROTHER INDEED

If you remember, in the years gone by
A British boss was called a Dorai
For his fair complexion and formal air;
To him, our Dorai, we may compare.

He struck gold in Tenth in Maths
And began well his academic path,
Cleared CA in the very first go
And then Cost too in a row.

'Practice' he chose and stuck to it
(Hope he will hardly regret it).
And Price Patt owes it present size
Also to his extra-auditing enterprise.

He nourishes pockets of genuine goodwill
With subtle, gentle and consummate skill,
Which he can dip in, when need arises
Not only for self but all of us.
He has a source for every need,
His networking is vast indeed.

For the sixth male issue in Avittam star
Wealth should fill pots of chaff.
We don't know if it is so,
All the same, we wish it is so.

His interests don't run in single track
As is evident from his Keep Track,
Professionalbooks and Sai Diary.
Add to the list a Brush factory.

He has a team at his beck and call
Led by a Jack of trades all,
Which gets wiser working for him
And also richer working through him.

What irritate him are big zeroes,
But alas, it is our land that invented zero.
Not the one to mince his words,
Not the one to waste his words,
"Ketta kelvikku badil"
Is what he wants and hates any frills.

He had a go at violin
But to the relief of veterans
He gave it up once for all
Maybe second fiddling isn't his call.

From HM's son to a Bank's board
Isn't surely an easy road.
He made it indeed and made it well
With the rest, he could gell well.

Whatever worship he takes to
He verily does it like fish to water.
Sorry for the use of non-veg metaphor,
But such is his total involvement.

He stood anchored in just one place
While others were in varying orbits.
Mother and aunt were under his wings
Throughout indeed their long innings.

When there is so much accent on 'privacy'
What did one in his bedroom see?
Verily a crowd as in a railway platform
To share the comforts of a room AC.

Everyone of our generation next
Sometime or other stayed in his nest.
He wishes them all, all the best
Soft is his heart behind a well meaning crust.

A brother in need is a brother indeed
But then it seems to be a vanishing breed.
Sometimes some stubbornness may peep through
Sure he is entitled to his view.

Keep it up, Dorai, all the best.
